Superman (World) is an arcade game released by Konami in 1988. The game is based on the DC Comics superhero Superman, and it features fast-paced action and side-scrolling gameplay. Players control Superman as he flies through the city of Metropolis, rescuing civilians and fighting various enemies.  The graphics and music were quite advanced for its time, though the game itself is simplistic in nature.  This version was intended for a global release, differing from possible region-specific releases that may contain different levels or features.
