Mortal Kombat on the Nintendo Game Boy is a port of the popular arcade fighting game. This version retained the core elements of its arcade counterpart, including its signature violent and gory combat and character roster, albeit with some graphical limitations due to the Game Boy's hardware. The Game Boy version featured simplified controls adapted to the handheld's button layout.  Acclaim Entertainment was the publisher for most versions of the game.
