Pokémon Black is a role-playing game, part of the fifth generation of the Pokémon franchise. Known for its extensive roster of Pokémon, deep story, and diverse gameplay mechanics, it involves exploring a vast region, catching and training Pokémon, and battling other trainers.  The game was developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo DS (not Game Boy).
