NHL 99, a title in EA Sports' long-running ice hockey series, came to the Nintendo 64. This version offered a simulation of the sport, including skating, puck handling, and scoring goals.   EA Sports, responsible for many successful sports titles, handled the development and publishing of the game.  This US release probably contained rosters and commentary reflective of the North American Hockey League (NHL).  The game's qualities, given its release date and console, likely were a fair representation of its era.
