Alpha Mission, the US release of SNK's action game, mirrors the European version in terms of core gameplay. It's a side-scrolling shooter where players control a spaceship, fighting waves of enemies. Similar to its European counterpart, the US version would focus on quick reflexes and strategic use of weapons and power-ups as the player advances through the stages.  SNK adapted the game for the US market, potentially making minor localization changes.
