The US release of Darkwing Duck for the NES follows the same gameplay and design as other regional releases; players control Darkwing Duck in action-platforming stages. Its faithfulness to the source material, combined with competent game design, makes it a successful licensed title for the console.  The differences compared to European or other releases might be minor, relating mostly to localization and potentially minor alterations to levels or sound.
