The USA release of Life Force largely mirrors its European counterpart, Salamander, sharing the same fast-paced, vertically scrolling shooter gameplay. However, minor differences in publishing and potentially code alterations could exist due to regionalization efforts.  The game is a notable entry in the Gradius franchise and was developed and published by Konami.
