Street Fighter IV, despite its title, is not a direct NES release but a highly influential entry in the franchise. It marked a return to the classic 2D fighting style with improved graphics and enhanced gameplay features.  Again, Capcom's development led to a title that garnered much critical acclaim and contributed substantially to the fighting genre.  Its innovations impacted later titles, and many games were inspired by its design principles.
