Darius Alpha is a vertically scrolling shooter for the NEC PC-FX. It belongs to the well-known Darius series, famous for its unique boss designs and challenging gameplay. While retaining core Darius elements, the PC-FX version would have offered updated graphics for the console’s hardware. Gameplay revolves around controlling a spaceship, shooting down waves of enemies, and defeating imposing bosses in intense battles.  The title is a known part of Taito's Darius franchise, making them the developers. This PC-FX port was likely an attempt to bring the popular arcade title to home consoles.
