Carmageddon is a vehicular combat game series known for its over-the-top violence and dark humor. The original game, released in 1997, gained notoriety for its unique gameplay that involved running down pedestrians and other opponents.  Gameplay centers around racing, using vehicles equipped with various offensive weapons to eliminate rivals.  The series has been produced by Stainless Games and has seen several iterations, sequels, and ports over the years.
