Castlevania Legends is a unique entry in the Castlevania series, deviating slightly from the typical side-scrolling formula by featuring a more vertically-oriented gameplay style.  This Game Boy title introduced a new protagonist and a somewhat different story within the Castlevania lore. Although its gameplay is distinct from earlier titles, it maintains the series' emphasis on action and gothic horror.  Konami developed and published this title globally.
