This is the original Sonic the Hedgehog game ported to the Sega Game Gear. Released in Japan, the game retains the core elements of the Genesis/Mega Drive version, though it is scaled down to fit the Game Gear's technical specifications.  The gameplay is still a fast-paced side-scrolling platform experience, featuring levels and bosses similar to its console counterpart. Published by Sega.
